🌟 Special Guests at Doodlebugs 🐞
Celebrating Community, Creativity & Connection
At Doodlebugs, we love opening our doors to local heroes, leaders, and friendly faces from our community – and our young artists do too! 🖌️✨
Since our creation 2 years ago we've been honoured to welcome some truly wonderful guests who’ve popped by to meet our creative children, take part in activities, and see the joy that arts and crafts bring to the heart of our club.

We love showing them what our Doodlebugs can do – and our guests always leave with smiles (and often, a handmade creation or two!).
🎉 Because at Doodlebugs… it takes a village, and ours is full of stars. 💛
Thanks to all our special guests – past, present and future – for making our club even more magical!

What an absolute pleasure it was to welcome Madam Mayor Teresa Heritage to Doodlebugs Art & Craft Summer Holiday Camp 2025!
We were deeply honoured to welcome St Albans Mayor, Councillor Jamie Day and the Mayoress, Liz Day to Doodlebugs during our Summer Holiday Camp 2024!
Doodlebugs was delighted and honoured to be visited by Cllr Rowlands - The Mayor of the City & District of St Albans during Summer Holiday Camp 2023 !

We were overjoyed to have the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire visit Doodlebugs during October Half Term Holiday Camp 2024 ! The children absolutely adored her and her warm presence made the day even more special. She joined in with their Halloween creativity, adding her touch to our spooky doodle art on black paper. Witches, wizards and spider pompoms took over our craft tables as everyone got creative together, making this Halloween truly unforgettable

St Albans MP Daisy Cooper joined children’s arts and crafts group Doodlebugs to talk all things mental health with its founders.
November 2023 - The Herts Advertiser
Daisy Cooper MP joined in our VE Day celebrations in May 2025 and said "It was great to visit the brilliant Doodlebugs Arts Craft club in London Colney again, and join the kids in their VE Day art activities.
They run many fantastic groups and activities, helping children to express their creativity! "

A huge thank you to PCSO Deborah Daniels, PCSO Latoyah Henry and PCSO Charlie Lumm from our community police for a number of visits that were both fun and meaningful! By joining the Doodlebug fun—Latoyah knitting, Deborah painting, and Charlie using handcuffs as a stencil—they helped break down fear or negative perceptions of law enforcement.
These early connections create a safer, stronger community built on mutual respect.
