Masquerade Behind the Mask – A Creative Connections Evening - Friday 27th March 2026 (7.30pm-9.30pm)

£25.00

Masquerade is more than costume and concealment.
It is the quiet, everyday act of becoming who we need to be.
In life, we all wear masks—layers of protection, stories, habits, and expectations placed gently (or sometimes heavily) over who we truly are. They are not lies. They are responses. Ways of navigating the world.

This March Creative Connections evening invites you to explore that idea through art and junk journalling.

As we layer papers, stamps, marks, textures, and colour, we reflect on how identity is built in much the same way—one layer at a time. Rice paper imagery, distressed inks, and raised stencil details become metaphors for what we choose to reveal and what we keep hidden.
Some marks will soften.
Some will remain visible.
Each one tells a story—just like the parts of ourselves we carry forward.
This is not about perfection or "getting it right."
It's an invitation to create freely, intuitively, and without judgement.
To allow the page to hold what the mask no longer needs to.

Reflection
The mask is not a lie—it is a response.
Each layer on the page mirrors a layer in life.
This journal space holds them all, without judgement.

Masquerade – the marks we wear.
We hide behind many masks.
Here, we gently peel back the layers of who we really are.
Whether you are new to art journalling or already love creative exploration, this evening offers a powerful, reflective, and nurturing space to pause, create, and reconnect—with your creativity and with yourself.

✨ Come and discover how art can help you explore, express, and release.
✨ Book your place and step behind the mask.
