Our inspiring beginning
Doodlebugs Arts & Crafts began in summer 2023 after we noticed how many children were struggling with anxiety and stress following the Covid pandemic.
We found that our ethos of calmness, small groups, looking after your mental health and, most importantly, listening to children was having a positive effect on their behaviour and confidence. We originally intended to set up a holiday club, but Doodlebugs quickly grew into something much bigger.
We deliberately keep our groups small, with no more than 16 people in a class at any one time. This helps us create a relaxed, calm and welcoming environment for everyone, from toddlers and children to adults.
Today, Doodlebugs has grown into the club it is because of the wonderful people who have become part of our journey. We always smile, we care about the people who come through our doors, and we have created a real Doodlebugs family — and that family continues to grow.
What makes us special
What makes Doodlebugs Arts & Crafts special is our calm, welcoming and personal approach. We believe that creativity is about much more than making something — it is about feeling comfortable, being listened to, building confidence and enjoying time with others.
We keep our groups small, with no more than 16 people in a class at any one time. This allows us to give people individual attention and creates a relaxed environment where everyone can feel included. People genuinely do not want to leave.
We offer a wide range of creative experiences for toddlers, children and adults, alongside wellbeing-focused activities and opportunities for people to connect with others. Our community and corporate events allow us to bring the Doodlebugs experience to different groups and organisations, while our special guests can come along and experience what Doodlebugs is all about.

Our passion and purpose
Our main goal at Doodlebugs Arts & Crafts is to create a calm, welcoming and happy place where people can feel comfortable being themselves.
We want everyone who comes to Doodlebugs to feel listened to, valued and included. Through creativity, small groups and a strong focus on wellbeing, we aim to help people build confidence, reduce stress, try new things and enjoy spending time with others.
We want people to feel that Doodlebugs is more than just a class or activity. It is a place where friendships grow, people can relax and everyone is part of our Doodlebugs family.
Our biggest reward is seeing people arrive with a smile, enjoy their time with us and genuinely not want to leave. We hope they leave feeling happier, calmer and looking forward to coming back.
