Needlecraft club: create, stitch, grow
Welcome to the Doodlebugs Arts & Crafts Needlecraft Club for children aged 7+ — a fun, creative space where children can discover the joy of making things with their hands, learn new needlecraft skills and develop their confidence through creativity. Our friendly sessions in London Colney, St Albans give children the opportunity to learn, create and make something they can be proud of.
Explore the world of needlecraft
Our Needlecraft Club runs Monday–Friday, 4pm–6pm, giving children the chance to learn new skills, get creative and work on a variety of needlecraft projects. Whether your child is completely new to needlecraft or already loves making and stitching, our friendly sessions are designed to encourage creativity, confidence and practical skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Embroidery skills
Our current focus is embroidery, where children learn a variety of stitches and techniques while creating their own beautiful designs.
A variety of needlecraft projects
Children can also explore knitting, crochet, hand sewing and machine sewing, giving them the opportunity to discover a wide range of needlecraft skills and techniques.
Creative development
A mixture of guided projects and opportunities to develop their own ideas allows children to explore their creativity, build confidence and develop their needlecraft skills.
Develop confidence and practical skills
Our friendly sessions help children develop practical needlecraft skills, patience and confidence, while encouraging them to explore their creativity and take pride in what they make.
What children will learn
Children will develop skills across a variety of needlecrafts, including embroidery, knitting, crochet, hand sewing and machine sewing. Alongside practical techniques, the club encourages creativity, problem-solving, patience and fine motor skills.
It's a wonderful way for children to build confidence through creative expression, learning new skills and taking pride in what they make.
